This month marks the one year anniversary of the launch of the new morning show on FOX 39, where Sachelle Saunders is the news anchor. It is the first local morning news programming on FOX 39 in the 7 am – 9 am time slot.

Saunders is a proud Rockford native, wife, and mother of one daughter, and a son on the way. She joined the WTVO/FOX 39 news team in 2010 as a reporter and has since moved up quickly, as morning anchor for “Eyewitness News”, locally known as FOX 39.

In response to the one year anniversary, Saunders said, “I feel especially grateful to have had the unique opportunity to help build and create the show and use it a as a vehicle to get some otherwise ‘unheard’ Stateline voices on the air.”

Saunders looks forward to many years to come. And, so does the Stateline area residents.
